Fees

To list items on bidorbuy is generally free and Sellers only pay a commission (Success Fee) for successful sales. There is a charge for listing items in certain categories such as Cars and Property as well as for certain optional enhancements. View the Fee Rate Card for a full break down of all fees.

Methods of Fee Payment

You will receive an invoice for your bidorbuy fees on the first working day of every month, reflecting your bidorbuy account activity for the past month. In addition, you can view your account at any time, by accessing your bidorbuy account in the 'My bidorbuy' section. If you would like to see every individual transaction be sure to select the detail view.

bidorbuy will attempt to debit any outstanding balance on your bidorbuy account from the previous month on the 7th of each month (or the nearest working day thereafter) from your credit card or you will have to make payment directly into bidorbuy's account. If your account is settled before the 7th of the month bidorbuy will not attempt to debit your credit card.

There are two options for paying your bidorbuy account manually:

1. Using the secure online form to pay any outstanding balance by credit card (currently we only accept VISA cards).

2. Making a direct deposit or Inter Bank transfer into bidorbuy's bank account as follows:

Bank: I & M Bank
Branch: Lavington
Branch Code:  016
Account No: 0160 050 603 1210
Account Type: Current Account
Account Name: bidorbuy (Pty) Ltd.

International Sellers, when paying your bidorbuy fees by wire transfer, please include the following information:

Bank: I & M Bank
Branch: Lavington
Bank Address: Gitanga Road, Lavington Next to Kobil Petrol Station,
Nairobi, Kenya
Branch Code:  016
Account No.: 0160 050 603 1210
Account Type: Current Account
Account Name: bidorbuy (Pty) Ltd
SWIFT Code: IMBLKENA

Ensure that you use the correct reference for your payment i.e. your bidorbuy invoice/statement number or bidorbuy user ID. This will ensure that your bidorbuy account is credited correctly. If for whatever reason, your monthly debit fails, you may make payment by no later than the 15th of the month, for the previous month's outstanding balance.

You are responsible for paying your bidorbuy account every month, by no later than the 15th day of the month, even in the event that you do not receive your tax invoice/statement. It is therefore your responsibility to check your current bidorbuy account balance in the 'My bidorbuy' section. Your historic invoices can also be viewed online.

bidorbuy requires payment of accounts in full every month. Failure to make a payment, will cause your bidorbuy account to become overdue, and may result in your account being disabled or blacklisted. Overdue bidorbuy accounts will be charged interest at the current I & M Bank prime interest rate as determined from time to time, and you could also be made liable for any legal fees incurred by bidorbuy.

Credits And Refunds

Listing and enhancement fees are non-refundable. Success Fees can be refunded under certain circumstances. View the SNC process for more information about claiming back Success Fees. If you have a credit balance in your bidorbuy account you can leave these funds in your account to be used towards future fees or request a pay out to your Kenyan bank account
